My thoughts on Michelle Obama

It's a hot topic to discuss anything about the Obamas and I don't wanna get left out of all the fun so here is what I really like about our lovely First Lady.

SHE IS 5 FEET 11 INCHES TALL!!!! That means if she is wearing any type of shoe (expect for  maybe flipflops) she is over 6 feet!!

All of you know me so you have noticed that I'm 6 foot! Us big ladies gotta stick together and stand up for each other :)

What do you do for your 29th b-day when your single?

You go on a HAWAIIAN CRUISE!!!!

I went on the most amazing trip with some wonderful friends and had the time of my life!! We left from LA (April fools day) and were at sea for 4 days. First stop, Hilo (on the big island), then Honolulu (which was my birthday), then Kauai and last but not least Maui!! We then had 4 at sea days back to the main land, made a quick stop in Ensenada, Mexico and ended the AWESOME trip back in LA!

My pals were Monique (who I backpacked Europe with) her friend Traci and one of my mission comps Jen Day. They are all amazing women!! I gotta go now but I'll post a few pictures soon!

Thoughts on dating!

Thank you for all the AWSOME comments to my last post. You guys are great and I feel very loved to have good friends and family help me out in hard times.

Ok, update: I messed it all up. I totally knew I would because I always do. I invited Peter Priesthood to a play volleyball with a group of friends and a bunch of people from my ward. HE CAME! Not just that, he was the first one there and brought his roommate. Ok, nobody comes on time to a thing like this unless he really wanted to be there... right?

Now for the bad part... tons of other people showed up, which is great because it's pretty hard to play ball with just a few, and I got all goofy and flirty (which is totally normal for me) and an hour or two into playing I realized I was flirting and being friendly to everyone but him. You see, I like him so I can't just be myself... I guess... gee... that is some messed up logic.

Anyway, he left and I tried to thank him for coming and told him I would invite him to come next week (cuz we play every week) but it felt pushed. I get the feeling that he saw the real CRAZY me and is not impressed. The sad thing is that it all happened subconsciously. The Best thing is I had a great time even tho I was a little down about messing it all up!

Conclusion: Dating is sooooo hard and painful, but fun and there are no set rules. With every different guy it goes differently and I've determined that for people to get together and stay together (after they see each other for who they really are... like all the crazy stuff), it takes a MIRACLE (which is ok, because I believe in miracles). I know in the end it will all be worth it... note the picture!!

To Be Continued......  :)

I need advice!!

Ok, so I'm back from the world of facebook and now I'm determined to not abandoned blogville anymore.

I've been thinking about the whole dating rules and what you "say" or "don't say" of how you feel. I just turned 29 so I'm running out of time and I gotta get this right. I would like to get to know this Peter Priesthood guy a little better and he invites me to do activities at his house but he is not asking me out. Is it ok for me to let him know I would be willing? Like, could I call him or facebook him and say "hey, I'd like to get to know you better so ask me out or I'll move on"?

I know he has season football tickets and Wicked tickets... if I came on to strong would I ruin my chances? (I'm safe asking here in blogville because he is not a citizen... he he)

Or should I just flirt like crazy and hope he gets the point? Wait, I've kinda already did that but just a little... I have not released my 100% flirting beast which to be honest is quite scary :{

Gee... I'm a hopeless mess!

Making road trips fun!

On my way from Las Vegas to Phoenix I took a great detour and went to Hoover Dam. It was AWESOME!! Quite an engineering marvel!

From Hoover Dam I drove a few hours to Lake Havasu, AZ and saw the "real" London Bridge. It was great and looks much better then the one they have in London now. This older one is much more decorative!
